Not quite the Hollywood sign, but this is outside our room's back window. I thought it was just so quaint--reminds me of my childhood. The sign probably dates to my childhood. Last night we went for a walk after we got here and wandered through the area's cemetery. Many of the graves date back to the 1800's! Lots of baby and children graves. We enjoyed walking the back, deserted roads and lanes, listening to the cicadas and crickets. Then--we got serenaded by our own private cricket concert about 1:30am. We finally got up to go outside and find the very loud critter but instead found it in our room. We caught it and carried into the parking lot but an hour later we had another serenade in our room! This time it got smooshed before it was thrown out! Today we are headed to the Strategic Air and Space Muse in Ashland, NE. Used to be the strategic air command museum for those of us who
remember the Cold War. Tony is really excited about it.

I remember a night like that in Texas one time. Couldn't ever find the noisy little thing until the next morning when we moved out the fridge and found it cowering underneath it. Last time we slept on the ground floor of a motel. - By the way (because I'm too lazy to try to figure out two of your Captchas) that breakfast basket looked wonderful!
