Retire or work--
I have been half-heartedly looking for a job. I applied for a few jobs over the last couple of months--even got through two rounds of interviews in December--but as we were wrapping up at the final interview, they sprung the terms on me. It wasn't a "float pool" position as advertised. It was regular part-time. As in 3 days per week. I thought I could handle that. Then--they told me those 3 days were Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
So I have put in on-line applications--I think I applied for 2 or three jobs that were listed.
I went to Taylorsville last week for an interview. I think I rocked the interview, but knew that my age would be a detriment. But yesterday, I got "the call" instead of the polite "thanks but no thanks" email. I go today to do my drug test and immunization check. I go to orientation on Feb. 18, and start the 19th!
I will be working in an IHC Instacare/KidCare facility in Taylorsville. It's a PRN (as needed) pool--I will be one of the fill-in nurses, to cover available shifts or if someone calls in sick. It's perfect and exactly what I wanted. If I want more shifts, I will be able to go into the pool for any IHC Instacare. But for now, it's going to be a handful of shifts per month.
WooHoo!
