Why is it that we always bring a whole lot back from SLC than we went with? We went down just to see Ellie. Oh--and Liz, Jacob and G&G L of course!! We had very few things we needed or wanted to do. Shopping was not on that list, except for shoes for work for me. The new ER opened last week and the floors are awful! I went home with shin splints. Others are having foot and leg and back pain.
So--we stopped at the Outlet Mall on the way down and got my shoes. And winter boots for Tony. And Saturday meant Ross. And NPS (my newest favorite spot for junk and good junk and groceries--it's Jobber's on steroids!) And Michael's. And Deseret Book. And on and on! So--the little car was full going home!
We had a really amazing experience Saturday. We went to the temple, and it was the Spanish session. We could have waited another 45 minutes for English, but went on the Spanish session instead. Wore the earphones for the English translation. But we could hear the Spanish also. We had to really listen hard to the English and pay attention. We both felt like we heard so much more than we usually do. Then, when we were in the celestial room, I straightened Tony's clothing, and he just sighed (loudly) and rolled his eyes. I saw a girl laughing at us. Later, in the dressing room, she came up to me and told me how "adorable" a couple we are!!
Then--on to the reason for the visit--a GRANDKID!! We had a good time with Ellie (read Liz's blog also), but we really wore her out. Now--if we could have only seen GRANDKIDS (plural), it would have been even more wonderful!
We are really looking forward to Thanksgiving with Seth's and Sarah's families. We have truly been blessed--having such wonderful families!
