From Phoenix we headed north to Route 66. Saw indian ruins. Stood on "the corner" in Winslow Arizona. We and saw the petrified first and painted desert. Then, instead of risking pulling into Chinle at night without reservations, we headed to Gallup, New Mexico. Tomorrow--Canyon de Chelly and Four Corners!
