Grandma C. is already starting to mourn. Little Miss will be leaving us soon to go back home to Texas. (Oh yeah, so will her mom and dad). It has been a joy to have the girls here with us, but we know the family needs to be together. Last week, the baby was having a hard time staying asleep, and finally her mom asked me to try to put her down, but she would have nothing to do with me--she only wanted her mom. This is what we have been working toward for the last couple of months--getting Em's strength back to take care of the baby, and getting the baby to remember that grandma is not the mom. So when it really happened, it was kind of hard to take.
Our plans are firming up for GW 09--at least we have the dates (nights of July 5, 6, & 7) so it's not really a weekend. The Wisconsin gang has their plane tickets. The Tennessee gang is still firming up their plans.
I just got an email from one of the former missionaries here--he is from Canada and we always called him Big Guy (because he was!!). He has had a hard time finding a companion, but he is getting married the end of May. We always told him we'd come to his wedding, so maybe.....
If you haven't seen the tutus that Liz and Em are making, ask for a picture. We have seen them for sale at kiosks in the mall ($25) and have seen little girls wearing them. SO easy to make, and they take just a few dollars worth of tulle and ribbon. The two little girls looked SO cute!!
