We had so much fun in July with the family in the Tetons, we tried again, this time just the two of us. We had seen the tent cabins at Colter Bay, and decided to try them out. They have 2 log sides and 2 canvas sides, with the roof canvas, and a canvas overhang. There is also a covered patio--a picnic table, and fire pit. We had a fun time there--and we're thinking that Colter Bay may be best for our next family trip to the Tetons and Yellowstone. It's about 30 miles farther north than we were at Gros Ventre, and there's a village there--store, deli, gift shop, launderette, showers, museum, boat dock with rentals, beach--and a tent/RV campground, cabins, and the tent cabins. We hiked around Jenny Lake on Saturday, then did a hort hike Sunday and drove up into Yellowstone--just to say we did. After Sacrament Meeting at Jackson Lake Lodge Sunday night, we ate at the restaurant there. Had ostrich for appetizer, then chocolate pate for dessert. Wonderful food--cost us about a whole week's grocery bill, but it was so fun!
We've been reading the family blogs, and can't believe how much fun it is--to see pictures of the grandkids and hear about all your adventures. Now we just need to get Seth and Brody to do it also!
We are so blessed to have all of you in our lives! Stay tuned for more!
